Hi. I am Maggie. I get things. At least I did, before I died. I guess I am still Maggie, but I am now without a body. I have decided to write about my thoughts on (and love for) the adventures of hunting for unusual picture frame wood with my human, Craig, now that I don’t have a body with which to do the things I used to love.
I have realized that I am capable of communication now using actual words! I still can’t speak, no longer having physical vocal chords, but I can blog. And… I have discovered that I am no longer an idiot!

So, having hi-jacked Craig’s website from beyond the grave (I can’t really say much more about that), I am going to share some thoughts with you about my love for helping Craig find unusual picture frame wood, and maybe share a couple of memories of our adventures in that place called “Outside”, which I absolutely frickin’ LOVED!!! Especially those parts of Outside that had water to go in and people to throw things for me to get. I’ll get the same thing a thousand times, I don’t care. 3 Things I’ve Always Known For Sure
I had watched Craig crafting his rare, uniquely-shaped wood picture frames over the years, out of the strange picture frame wood we would find. I didn’t know what he was doing back then because I was not too bright, to say the least. There were many things I simply didn’t understand. But two things I did know for sure are:
- Food tastes really, really amazing, and that I would do just about anything to get me some.
- People are AWESOME! I never much cared for other dogs (they always seemed to be trying to steal my stuff). But bring any human to the door and I would very nearly lose my mind with utter joy.
- Chasing and exploring the great outdoors for weird wooden things is exquisitely enjoyable!

There were certain sticks that I simply could not stand to part with, even though they were apparently not worthy of being part of any amazing wood picture frames in Craig’s mind. He would have to command me to leave the wood piece outside the car before we left for home or our next spot. I would sometimes have a terribly dramatic crying fit, but I would eventually have to relent, give up the stick (or log, as was usually the case with my favorites) and try to pull myself together. Life was sometimes really hard.

Finding Beautifully Funky Picture Frame Wood Requires a Skillful Eye
I now see that the wood for an unusual wood picture frame like the ones my human made requires a certain kind of aesthetic, if you will, and not just girth and a pleasant scent and flavor. I see now that the strange stocks of wood required for crafting unconventional wood picture frames need to have strange color and grain patterns, as well as unusual shape and texture, etc. A pleasant flavor is a bonus.
By the way, I was able to see colors. Dogs being color blind is a fallacy.
Incidentally, there is also no climate “crisis”, and carbon is actually a really good thing, being that… umm… It is just the fourth most abundant element in the universe, and is the very building block of life on earth.
There is likewise no Santa Clause or Easter Bunny.
But I digress. Sorry, I have gotten miraculously un-stupid in death, but my attention span hasn’t improved much…

Back to the Joys of Harvesting Unusual Picture Frame Wood and General Frolicking
As I was saying, finding interesting picture frame wood requires developing a measure of cunning and patience, as well as a having a great eye for detail and an ability to envision the final product–an amazing and unique picture frame.
I always fell short in the patience department. I didn’t seem to have the capacity for either it or the envisioning part. But I did pride myself on having that keen eyesight. And apparently it made me a good dog. I was often praised for my goodness. I never let being a good dog go to my head, I’m incredibly proud to say. Just a little joke there. Dogs aren’t capable of pride. Or typing, for that matter. This is all being done telekinetically.

Driftwood: The Best One-of-a-Kind Picture Frame Wood
Driftwood was my personal favorite unusual frame wood, and I think Craig likes it, too.
The trick for me was always not completely destroying the wood with my teeth before I got it back to show Craig. The other hard thing was not covering the piece entirely with dog slobber.
You know what I like best about driftwood? It always seems to be near water. And for me swimming after things thrown is nearly as awesome as food and humans, and is my favorite kind of thing-getting.

Well, I have to go back to sleep now until Judgement Day. I hope my name is found in the Lamb’s Book of Life at that time. I wonder if there is a separate book for dogs…?
Anyway, it’s fortunate that another thing I love is sleep.
